I am looking for more information on the ancestry of John Cooper, who settled in Ashland County, Ohio in 1822.

John Cooper (born 1799) was the husband Nancy (Van Tilburg) Cooper,  father of Henry Cooper and grandfather of Harpster Cooper, also of Ashland County.

We have this lines of Coopers all filled out from John Cooper through his present descendants, but the trail goes cold previous to 1822 and John's moving to Ashland County. I would love to know his place of birth, his parents' names and acquire any additional narrative about him or his earlier ancestors.

There were 1442 matches for "John Cooper", but luckily only 1 Nancy (Van Tilburg) Cooper smiley

So I think I found the profile you are referring to:

Cooper-20532

I found him on Find a Grave:

Memorial 16730362 john-cooper

It references his spouse and 2 children.

A possibility on Family Search:

1850 census

Jill,

Thank you so much for your interest and help! That is the John Cooper I’m looking for. In fact I added his profile. And I have actually gotten to see his headstone with my own eyes.

What I am hoping for is to find out who his parents were and where he specifically was born. John was the first of a continuous line of nine generations of Cooper men who have made their home in Ashland County. I am the seventh generation of that line.

If you stumble on anything else about John, please let me know!

Thanks so much!

Doug
Re: Space Elevator Concept Perfected, SpaceX may Tank

With Earth-born rockets in serious doubt, as rockets are dangerous and expensive, and https://www.SpaceHose.com has verified the space elevator is a go, because of umbilical with rocket fuel shot outward and westward to prevent cable breaking and Kepler drag, plus solar-powered torque wheels, 4 tethered hoses at 90 degree angles, and a non-isotropic spiral graphene for x-y direction strength but z-direction elasticity for heat dissipation and longer hysteresis life, all backup and good insurance, there is a good chance SpaceX stocks will tank once media reports our success at the International Space Conference in Seattle this weekend, as the long term need for large rockets is depleting quickly.

Space Elevators promise payloads that charge $100 per pound versus $11,000 per pound, with parachutes and backup rockets, land based and at the end of hose, or counterweight 60,000 miles away, to prevent a broken hose from returning to Earth, even retrieve it and mend or recycle it.

Man-made flying saucers, space craft and experimental satellites that employ Titor and Woodward effects for dual singularities and high oscillations near heavy space-time warping like near the Sun, possibly using hot plasmas to spin gluons and quarks to create exotic matter to simulate dark mass and dark energy, leading to anti-inertia to prevent high Mach forces from killing astronauts, and achieving relativistic speeds to travel to nearby Earth-like planets in a short period of time, are all possible with Jim Wood’s “integration” philosophy.

Space Hose is a weighted-average industrial democracy where you are automatically on the board of directors if you spend as little as $9.95/month, the more you spend, the more valuable your vote. The company has many ways to raise revenue prior to launching space elevators, in what could be 5 years for under 10 billion dollars. Please see https://www.SpaceHose.com for details.

Sincerely,
Jim Wood
