Eva Ekeblad is a Wonderful WikiTreer

Thanks Eva for orienting me to the Sweden project, and making sense of the "one family tree" orientation of WikiTree, vs. the multiple trees and name matches that happen, sometimes spurious, in other genealogy online systems, for fee and not.

I'm so glad that WikiTree folks are willing to explain and help resolve things, including the dead ends that sometimes come earlier in time than they probably should, based on those who know the migration / moving patterns of  the occupations and families in Sweden.  ~  Deb

Thank you, Deborah!

You know, I did look a bit further for Erik Persson. I do think he was born in Ramsberg parish - since there would in all likelihood have been a note of birth place as well as year in the household record if he was born elsewhere. No birth place given usually means = same parish.

I did look back for him in the earlier cathechism examinations, backwards from where he lived when he married and moved in with the family of his wife. I first found him as a ten-year old (that book gives age, not birth date), living in a household that wasn't headed by his parents. He moved often. I think he was an orphan - and as for the "parents" living 180 km away (still alive) they would certainly not have sent their firstborn so far away, to such a life.

I just wasn't up to formatting and linking the sources for five or six different pages (written with faded ink) for the households he lived in.

What a lovely message! Thank you, Deb, for recognising a wonderful member of our community.

You do brilliant work, Eva! You (and others like you) are one of the many reasons that WikiTree runs as smoothly as it does; we'd all be flapping about very confused without your guidence and willing to help :) Congratulations on having your efforts recognised!
