I believe we are ancestors of Nathaniel gist how do I compare our dna?

DNA cannot be directly tested that far back.

But if you can fnd another another descendent of that ancestor and get them to test their DNA then you MIGHT be able to make a connection that way. No guarantees though.

If you consider that you are a descendant of George then the first step would be to build the paper trail branches of the tree to make the connection to him and assess the relationship. It is likely to be fairly distant and as the amount of DNA inherited from an ancestor reduces with each generation you may or may not have enough of his DNA for it to show up in matches with other descendants of his.
