Are you aware that in Ireland , small areas called "townlands" are correct place names , example Fearglass North.

Yes this is a good point. Ireland Irish Roots Project has set up categories for these townlands for each county. An example would be for County Tyrone Townlands For a list of all of them that have been created by County see Townlands in Ireland

I wasn't aware but I am now. Thank you. I haven't done Irish research yet. Its coming but I'm not quite at the point where it would make sense. Now I know to look for the smaller places that are named.
