Conflicting names and how to express an Either/Or

I am cleaning my error report and am having an issue with conflicting historical records and how to express that in the system. For example Rundberg-22 has historical data that says that his middle name is Elund and other data that says it is Emil. The word "or" as I have it currently set up generates an error. How do I turn off the error without coming down on one name or the other, as I am not convince of either's providence, yet?

Change the middle name to the initial "E" and make note of the conflict in the biography section.

That's what I'd recommend. Lots can be explained under ==Bio.==
Having said that, the Iowa birth index gives his name as Elund. Unless you have other primary sources where the name is given as Emil, I would go with Elund. You can include any instances of Emil being used in the biography section.
