Shared Photo: My mother In law Grethe Laursen died Tuesday 24 July 2018.

Question

my wonderful mother in law Grethe Laursen died two days ago, 24 July 2018 she was 97 years old. She would not have anymore treatment after she got and infection in her lunge. It came back on us she died twice days after her treatment stop.

She has always been there for me from the day I meet her son Poul , she was love by everyone and I will really miss her 

It was really strange to put her dead days in her profile.

Susan, I grieve with you. This photo shows a woman of marvelous personality and spirit. I know you will miss her.

I also know the feeling of adding death dates to people I’ve know, aunts, uncles, cousins. Always a sorrowful experience.

We’re here for you and with you, Susan. You have my deepest condolences.

I, too, am so sorry for your loss.  It is wonderful that you had such a good relationship with your mother-in-law and that she lived a long life.  I'm sure you have many memories to cherish. All my condolences.

I am so glad that you shared a picture of a woman who meant so much to you.

She looks so adorable in the picture, and it is surreal the moment you have to actual put the death date in writing. It was that with my sister, dad and son.

Susan, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. Three years ago, and it hurts like yesterday.

But this isn't about me - - dear heart, it is about your loss, your mother and your feelings.

I have only been on here since the end of May, and you have been one of the kindest people to me to date.

I thank you for that, and I truly sympathize with the loss of your mother-in-law. What dear, sweet people they become in our lives. Being the mother of the men we love so much - the grandmother of our children.

You really do have my love, sympathy and prayers.

So sorry for the loss of your beloved "Mother" in Law. I was close to my mother in law and often referred to her as my second mom so I know how hard it is to lose someone you cherished and loved. Sending prayers to you and your family.
