I am searching for details of James Kennedy, born about 1908 in Scotland. If I had access to the census records, I    may be able to pinpoint the correct entry. I believe he had connections to the MacKay family.

Have you any further details, part of Scotland? Parents names? Siblings?
I have found a James John Kennedy born 1908 departed Glasgow Scotland with parents in 1924 to Canada.   He died 1924 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.  Spouse Nellie Jean Maksymetz.
Patricia, Thanks for taking the trouble to look that up However my John did not leave the UK. He married Margaret  E Noble in Birkenhead. It is his birth place I am have the problems with.

Thanks once again,

Don

You can get access to Scottish records at Scotlandspeople. The index is free to search. You can buy credits if you want a copy of the images.

Hello Donald, Check the Scotlands People Site,I found It to be very helpful. Findmypast and Family Search are also not bad. There is Kennedys in my family tree and I used these sites to trace their origins.I also used Irish Genealogy Site. Just noticed you said the problem was solved.  Hope this is helpful anyway.Good Luck
