Why is EditBot deleting my Project Categories

I greatly object to EditBot deleting my project categories. Why did this happen? If there is an issue, please consult me first. I have reinstated them

Could you give an example of a profile where the category was deleted? Really need to know which profile and what categories before any help can be given.

This appears to be one of the profiles recently restored.

The Categories that were deleted were all linked to the Master One Name Category page for the respective Projects I Admin. For example the Category shown for this Profile which links back as can be seen: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Kingsmill-288

Could you give some additional information such as some of the categories. There seems to be a bit of this going around lately.

Category: Kingsmill Name Study, Unlinked Irish Kingsmill line. as seen for the family members here:

Deleted by EditBot but now reinstated by me.

The category was removed because it was created incorrectly. It is apparently not linked to anything. See the One Name Studies FAQ Page for information on how to set up a One Name Study with the appropriate categories.

As it is my project I do not see why I cannot have a category that I chose such as:  Kingsmill Name Study, Unlinked Irish Kingsmill line. as seen for the family members here:

Deleted by EditBot but now reinstated by me.

The Categories that were deleted were all linked to the Master One Name Category page for the respective Projects I Admin.
I think you will need to email info @ wikitree.com for help with this issue.
Looks like the bot might have been confused by the word Unlinked in the category name.  I guess it was removing categories no longer used by the Connectors project.

Clearly it needs to be banned from creating, removing and renaming personal categories (per another thread).

And maybe it should be said that subcategories of a name study should also be left alone.

Yes , I would support that.

Anyway, Ales is renaming my profiles with the word "unconnected" in the Project subcategories category to be "unlinked" and then stopping EditBot from deleting any categories with the word "unlinked" in them across WikiTree unless the category has the phrase "Unlinked_Profiles"
