Will this help Mayflower researchers?

John Scobey.......I searched your name on the Mayflower passenger list. I didn't find the name Scobey. but it mentioned a Manor in Scrooby. It mentioned John and William Brewster of Scrooby. It mentioned a Village of Scrooby.  Then I put your name in Google and this came up.

Philomelia Sophia Scobey   1827-1897  Wife of King Henry 8th..

And this mentioned a blog (Which I never read) Under Nutfield Genealogy Londonderry, New Hampshire. Grave stone of Alice Scobey. It  reads:

Here lyes the body of Alice Scobey

Died: 29 August 1753 age 29.

In the same area is a stone for John Howard.

I don't read the blogs but this one is very interesting and informative.. Look up Heather Wilkinson Rojo. Many beautiful photos of old buildings and cemetery stones. Nutfield Genealogy will take you there.

I feel doubtful already.  Philomelia was 1827-1897.  Henry VIII was 1491-1547.  She was his wife?

I had my doubts too when I saw the dates. But I just wrote it as it was written..I was concentrating on the name. Thanks

thanks for the link Velma - I have ancestors from Londonderry that helped start that town and some that started Petersborough near there too so I will check that out

Not sure if this should be an answer - probably should have been a comment - but it will help me if not them so thanks again!
