I let my subscription to fold3 expire  which is where i usually found this info, I would like to find his muster in date to include with the cw sticker. This soldier was KIA at Gaines Mill.

There will be another Joshua Hanks from the same county in Texas  however he is 44 yrs old and is in a cavalry unit. He's this soldiers uncle. Thanks

I'm looking at the records in Fold 3. Is the Joshua B Hanks you are looking for the same one who was killed in an engagement in Coal Harbor, VA, 27 Jun 1862? Co. H, 1st Reg, Texas Infantry, Capt. Alex Rainey's Company. Enlistment: 24 Jun 1861.

Sure is. I'm also looking for info on his father James s Hanks a captain in a cavalry unit.
13th regiment Texas Cavalry (Burnetts), I was the anon that commented above.
I can download the service records and email them to you for both. My email is victoria.english@gmail.com
I'll send you a msg. Thanks.
