Why does a Freemasonry sticker not exist?

Hi, I was curious why there is not a Freemasonry sticker that can be added to qualifying profiles. If such a sticker does not already exist, could such sticker be created by one of the leaders? Thank you!

Not fussy on it - have many ancestors that were into it but as a present member of Knights of Columbus, not so fussy - and then I would also want one for all my Livoninan Knights and my Knights Templar and my Knights of the Garter, etc
I also belong to many organizations. While stickers for all of them would be great, I merely suggested one for Freemasonry as it has been around for over 300 years. Since many prominent people have been members, it seems like that particular sticker would be worth while to many.

I don't think there is a sticker (though that's a great suggestion!) but there is a category you can add qualifying profiles to:

Thank you for the response. I have connected such persons to the Freemasonry category. However, I feel as though a sticker for Freemasonry would be aesthetically pleasing on such profiles. If someone could create such sticker I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Joel,

I help to manage the Freemasonry Free Space project.

And that is the reason why there is no sticker. It is a "Free Space" project, and not an official WikiTree Project. Yet. So there is no sticker.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you out in this area.

Stickers can be created without being associated with Projects. If several members are interested in having a sticker to display on profiles of people who were Freemasons, one could be created.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Stickers for the policy -- and how to go about proposing a new sticker.
Thank you for your response. I didn't realize that Freemasonry wasn't an official wikitree project.
Ellen,

Thank you for your response and I appreciate your assistance. I am looking into it.
Hi Ellen,

I wasn't aware that one can have a sticker without having an official project.

Thanks!

Freemasonry would be a great candidate for a sticker, as would be any organization that keeps records with dates. The records of Freemasons (and churches and other fraternities) include dates that identify where a specific person was. This would be a great resource for Wikitree and genealogists in general. You can see how I have been using fraternal records as a reference at our category page. Just click on one of the profiles here: https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Category:Kinmundy_Lodge_No._398

A sticker that gives the lodge name and number, its location, and fields for initiation, passing, raising, affiliation, and Past Master would be great. If any of the initiation, passing, and raising fields are missing, alternative text saying "unknown" should appear. If the affiliation or Past Master date fields are missing, the line should be removed from the sticker. The lodge name, number, and location should be required for the sticker to be accepted. You can't say a person was a Freemason without knowing the exact lodge they belonged to. The sticker should automatically be linked to a category specific to that lodge.
