Finding Russian relatives/ancestors?

I had a distant cousin, Hilda Maud Armitage who married a John Zaharoff from Russia. They had four children, all born in England, of whom three died in infancy. Notes on Hilda that I was given by another distant cousin (now deceased) say that she died in Russia.

Their last child, Katherine, was born in 1922, and I have not found any trace of the family in British records after that date.

Assuming that Hilda, John and Katherine migrated to Russia, would there be any records accessible to make their biographies more complete?

I look at what I could find today and not much - I played with Zaharov and Zaharova and found a few but didn't seem to be related - sorry.

In terms of Russian based names, I get valid matches from an autosomal basis at gedmatch and gedmatch genesis which might be helpful for you to do.

I have even talked via email with a gentleman whose mom matched my dad and found that he and his family spread through out the trade routes along the border of southern Siberia and Northern Russia which were far more active than people realized and came farther west than people think.
