Hear Ye!! Hear Ye!!
If you are interested in people who are famous, notable, noted, significant, important, historic, heroic, or otherwise fascinating, then the Notables Project might be for you! The idea behind this post is for anyone who needs help with connecting Notables to the tree to post to this thread and ask for help.
Or if you just want to tell us whom you have successfully connected up. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Notables Above is the Notables Project page where you can find unconnected Notables who have profiles and who need to be connected to the tree.
Please remember to concentrate on those Notables who have already passed (died), so that we can see their profiles. If you create a profile for a living Notable, that profile WILL GO UNLISTED and noone can see it except for the PM and anyone on the trusted list!
And remember - Notables should have a Wikipedia page at the very least to qualify. And they should be DEAD!

Above is a list of those who have passed already this year.
Have fun!!

I wasn't able to do quite as much of Anthony Bourdain's ancestry as I would have liked in June. I'll work on that this month, as well as adding more ancestors to French-born American actor Charles Boyer.
I'm thinking Boyer could be a challenge to connect, since he came from a rather obscure family in a small town in rural France. That said, if we can't figure out his connection, we could always try the other famous person from Figeac.
In other news, I apparently connected George Harrison a few months ago without realizing it, as I discuss in my other post here.
Wow, nice one, Greg!
I'm planning to work on the family of another French-born star, Claudette Colbert. She is, fortunately, already connected.
I agree connecting Boyer is likely to be a challenge, but, after all, fleshing out more trees for people in this area is what will make connections easier in the future (we hope).
Belgian author Georges Simenon is now connected to the global tree. I created the path following Isabelle's suggestion to try connecting him through his French Canadian second wife.
I'm exploring the less obscure connections of Charles Boyer - in particular a convoluted link (possibly) to the ill-fated La Pérouse. Looking at Charles's ancestors, though, it looks like several of them had fairly qualified professions. His great-grandmother, Susanne Jausions, may have been related to a mayor of Figeac. None of that gives us a connection yet, unfortunately.
I've continued to work on connecting the English born Australian Generals, and yesterday worked on: Walter Adams Coxon Thomas Henry Dodds and Joseph John Talbot Hobbs who are all now connected to our global tree. My list of 15 English born Generals is now down to 3, but I may have to accept defeat with them. Can anyone else help to connect: Hubert John Foster Donald Robert Jackson and William Livingston Sinclair
