my info is wrong - how can I change it and lock it?

Question

I think this is a technical question - I had a son given up for adoption at birth that has gone in and changed my correct info - I would dearly love to correct it and make it stay that way - is there a way?   I'm in Wiki under Betty May Vangness    I've been married one time - he added another name and also took out our wedding date plus one of our children - any help is appreciated.  If the info is going to be out there - it should be correct

No my married name is Ramer and when someone did the Vangness family history - I was in that.  All I know is this profile is me and I know who changed it but it's wrong.

Hi, Betty!

Happy to see you here. The profiles of you and several of your family members were orphaned. I realized there might be an issue with them when you made a comment about a change on your guest profile. I adopted the profiles so that if and when you became a member I could transfer them to your management.

Please let me know if you need assistance volunteering.

Hi Betty,  Vangness-7 is an Unlisted profile, that can only be seen by the profile manager and people on the trusted list.  It's managed by Deb Durham, who is quite active and will surely help you out.  You can also send her a private message.  Good luck!

The other profile you say is yours is Unlisted. How were you able to see the information on it? In order to take charge of your own profile, you need to complete the registration process and become a member of WikiTree. WikiTree Admin can then help you merge your profile with any other one here that represents you. For more information, see Volunteering.
