I created a profile for a man about whom I had no information other than his name, his parents' identities, that he was not the oldest son, and that he was an adult who died between the date his father's will was created and the date the will was proved. (I had a good fix on his death date but I could only make a very rough guess on his birth date.) I thought that a death date was still sufficient for creating a profile, but when I tried to save the profile I was prevented from doing so, due to the message "A birth date is required when adding a child."
I guess I missed the announcement of a policy change. When did the policy change, and what is the rationale for the change? Are birth dates now required for all profiles, or just profiles that are created as somebody's child?
