How do you "clean up a file after a merge"?

Sometimes there is unnecessary and/or duplicate information left on the profile.  You want to make sure there is only one biography, section for sources, etc.  It is also a good opportunity to clean up gedcom junk like when the profile looks like this:


: Birth

1755, Connecticut, USA

You can clean it up by removing the :Birth because it is redundant.  The USA should also be removed because it didn't exist in 1755.  Also, it should be stated more like a sentence.  I said should.  You can also remove links that are no longer valid.

One might also replace invalid links with valid ones, instead of just removing the broken link...
