What does this text mean?  What does Mary Stoddard have to do with Philip and Anna's marriage.

It looks like it is a marriage intention between Philip of Boston and Mary Stoddard on February 7, 1847.  I read this as Philip is the son of Philip Fox and Anna Willcutt and he and Mary Stoddard intented to marry.  This profile (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fox-973) is the son of Philip and Anna and he did marry a Mary Stoddard.

Ooohhh - the next sound you hear is a big forehead slap!  I forgot Philip had a son Philip.
No worries Jo.  I figured you just didn't see the son. :)
The son's death record has father born in Lincolnshire, England.  Ha!  Not Cohasset.  Now maybe I can find his parents.
