How can I add category in a sentence?

I am working on instructions for Rowley Name Page and want to include in the page an instruction as to how to add a profile to the Head of Line list which is a subcategory. So far, I've added three or four. But I want people to be able to do so on their own, so I want to put in the instructions as to what the category code is on the profile page. what can I do that doesn't cause the category to added to the Rowley Name page, and not appear in the sentence?  The category is "Head of Line, Rowley Name Study".

OK. Second question. I enter the URL to the proper page (With or without URL: in front) and get an error message: That WikiTree ID does not exist (Category:Head_of_Line%2C_Rowley_Name_Study).  How do I enter a URL in? or this URL in particular?  Same with Rowley_Name_Study on its own. I give up.

Try using a comma instead of %2C.  Sometimes it doesn't matter, sometimes it does.

You can create a link to a category by adding a ":" before the word Category like this [[:Category:Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri|Calvary Cemetery]]. The part before the pipe | is the link and the part afterward is the display text. Hope that answers both questions.

Here is an example of a profile with both the category before the bio and a link to that category in the text of the bio.

To display the code without adding the page to the category, use <nowiki></nowiki>. In this case, it would look like this on the edit page:

<nowiki>[[Category:Head of Line, Rowley Name Study]]</nowiki>

. On the public view of the page it would display:

[[Category:Head of Line, Rowley Name Study]]

without linking to or adding the page to the category.

Link to the category page:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Head_of_Line%2C_Rowley_Name_Study

Link to the name study page:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Rowley_Name_Study

Both of those work fine for me.
