Pre-1500 Badge Holders Challenge

Question

This is a "Get Ready" Notice for all the Pre-1500 badge holders.   Starting on Monday next week, we are going to have a friendly challenge to clean up our own watchlists of "EASY" fixes for Pre-1500 profiles.   This is the simple stuff, like 511 Unique names (spelling), 723 Prefix in First Name, 802 Empty profile

The kinds of errors where a lot of them will just be marked false errors, or the simple adding of headings and an {{Unsourced}} template.   I will put out the list of error codes on Monday.   Let's see if we can make a dent in the "easy stuff".

No, challenge tracker, just a "group" challenge to clean up more Pre-1500.

I am going to ask that badge holders concentrate on their own watchlists first.

Grrrrr. We just cleaned up a lot of the older Ireland ones. I guess I'll have to look at some of the newer ones.

Ha ha Richard - was wondering how to respond - Can only say I'm challenged every day, tidying pre-1500 Irish profiles.

I don't have any that fit that time period that I know of.   I did adopt a lot of profiles in May that I am slowly working on.  A number of them have no dats at all so it is possible some of those do fit the time period but I won't know until I start researching them.

How long will the challenge run?  I've adopted several hundred pre-742 profiles, so you know I will have as much to do as I can find time!

I also adopted many pre-1500 profiles particularly during the period before the pre-1500 badge and most of them have multiple issues/suggestions, but I think this is a great idea, and all we can ask is that people do what they can in the time given.

Maybe if there are people you don't have many profiles on their watchlist they can help others like Jack and myself.

Please note that I am in the midst of setting up an England sub-project on English Classical Music Composers (qv) in which I am deiberately creating many unconnected pre-1500 profiles of Medieval and Renaissance era composers (and those of later periods) based on information originating in the history of English music and the longterm goal of which is to connect them to the broader WT...but they will be generating error messages for now.

No issue with the unconnected error....we are just looking at "style" type errors, or name/place errors
