Welcome Michael, Your next step should be to complete the membership process. You are currently showing as a Guest member so your editing rights are limited. I have added the Greeters tag to your post, so someone should be along shortly to help you.
Holy cow! That was quick! Michael is in as a new member. Maggie did the deed quick as forty!
Michael, you are now showing as a Family Member, so you should be able to begin to add profiles for close family. Still some steps to go to reach full Wiki Genealogist status. Have fun.
I was excited too, til I signed up and started getting unwanted emails, which the site says if you don't want emails then don't sign up, so I didn't finish signing up, too difficult.
Hi Anonymous,

I keep a separate email account for my "genealogy" work.   But I haven't really noticed what I call excess email from WikiTree,  even though I haven't  "opted out" of the most frequent email notices.  (Go to  "Help", Email, Settings. to opt out.)    Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Michael, welcome to WikiTree.

You're just one more step to become a Wiki Genealogist. Please see the following help page:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Member_Types

"A Family Member can become a Wiki Genalogist at any time by signing the Wiki Genealogist Honor Code."

Our community mission is to create one accurate single family tree that's free and open to the world.

The help pages and G2G are great resources to learn how to collaborate in our mission.

Profiles for your father and grandfather were already created as can be seen in the answers to this other post:

https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/658250/irene-justice-smith-married-charles-david-justice-settlers?show=658275#a658275

The merge of the duplicate profiles has been proposed. For more information on "Merging" see here:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Merging

There's information on your great-grandparents with sources in the 2nd. answer, so you can grow the family tree.

Welcome aboard once again, Michael yessmiley
