G2G: How do I change the birth name?

I keep seeing responses that say profile manager can make change to birth name but no one says how to do this.  I had an error in last name.  I need to correct it but the field doesn't come up on the edit screen.  How do I get to it?

The link you have provided is to a profile that has a project as profile manager. Only the profile manager can change the LNAB.

Any trusted list member can change the LNAB of a profile that has a project as a project manager. The only exceptions are project-protected profiles; those have to have project protection removed (by a Leader) before the LNAB can be edited.

if you are the PM, you click right here to edit the LNAB. But you must be the profile manager to do this.

And yes, I know I have a buttermilk waffle recipe in the other tab. They were delicious with pecans and strawberries.

Natalie!! That’s hilarious!! Giving away all your secrets on tabs! laugh

now I want a waffle!

I am impressed that you only have two tabs opened! I’m not sure what it says about my work habits that I always have 20+ tabs opened in my browser.

Now that’s funny. Me, too.

quick count - I have thirteen now - jeeze

Note: Any trusted list member can change the LNAB, not just profile managers.

I have found that I cannot change the name and private email to profile manager failed because email address is invalid.  Any ideas on how to proceed?  I can add a note but it really needs to be fixed!

The profile you linked to is a pre-1700 person whose profile is managed by a WikiTree project. The email address for the project is good. However, if you want to change the name, you'll need to give the Southern Colonies project some sources and some rationale for the name change. (The profile is unsourced.)

I see that you changed her first name from Margaret to Mary, and you changed her life dates. This makes me think that there could be two different people, and this might be a case of mistaken identity. Without sources, I can't tell.
