Can you use just the maternal side of GEDCOM, since the paternal side is incorrect?

Hi, I am a newbie here.  Just two months ago I found out my dad was not my biological father.  I have two GEDCOMs, one being the original with my maternal and believed to be paternal side and the other being my biological father's side.  I am uploading my biological father's GEDCOM now.  Now how do I upload the GEDCOM with my mom side and not include the wrong paternal side?  Do I have to enter all of my mom's ancestry again by hand?  Thanks for any help in advance.

You may wish to split the gedcom with the bad info.  Some instructions are at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Splitting_a_GEDCOM .  Other considerations are whether a descendant list is something you wish to use to pick-up many of your aunts, uncles, cousins, or if you only wish to have direct line ancestors to an individual.  Beware that choosing either method has a way of creating duplicate profiles as brothers or sisters commonly married the brother or sister of an in-law.  Depending on how large your family history is, you may wish to copy and paste from one database into WikiTree and avoid the junk that many gedcoms create.

GEDCOM upload through GEDCOMpare doesn't automatically dump the tree onto WikiTree; you still have to add individuals one at a time. So you could simply skip your non-bio-dad and all his ancestors when you're processing the GEDCOM.

But honestly? I'd still add your non-bio-dad's tree. WikiTree isn't about multiple trees for different users' blood relatives; it's about connecting everyone to a single big tree of biological and marital relationships, and your NBD and his ancestors have a place in that tree. All you have to do to keep it correct is to not link him as your father. And that way, someone who *is* related to him can find the information and ancestry.
