Do you remember making yourself unlisted... I googled your name and it says you are unlisted causing your tree to disappear from public view

"Living Murphy:

This is the account profile for a member of WikiTree. The profile is Unlisted, so there is no public information about the member."

All these people are still here

https://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Murphy-Family-Tree-13090

but James

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Murphy-16099

has lost his parents.

Seems to have something to do with him becoming a user.  If he disconnects his tree, he disconnects yours, because there's only one tree.

I don't think you understand. I'm there. My tree is not. Everything I've put in is empty. The only thing in there right now is my father, who I just helped join and had to redo and try to merge from my contributions link.

Go to your watch list, all the profiles you created are there....

Watch is is on a drop down menu under My WikiTree

WikiTree: Where genealogists collaborate

  • My WikiTree
    • Watchlist, second from the end of list

(edited to remove my information)

Did you look at the picture I linked? Because I'm pretty sure you still don't understand what I'm saying. I had an entire tree filled out on my account at one point. Now it's empty. I'm not talking about the watch list.
I guess not, maybe someone else can help you. I tried.

Your profiles are still there.  This is your Watchlist

The problem seems to be that your father has made himself a new profile and attached you as his child.  This disconnected you from the profile you'd previously made for him.

The trick now is to put in the connection between your father's new profile and your grandfather.  Then everything will be back to normal.

Thank you for trying, Dorothy.

RJ, you nailed it. But it looks like I had to add both grandfather and grandmother. It's all flowing again.

Thanks!
Is the unlisted "Living Murphy" now a duplicate profile of your father ?

RJ,

You may want to make that an answer so it isn't missed.
