I'm currently working on my ancestors and associated families who lived in Whitburn, Linlithgowshire, Scotland (now part of West Lothian) - a whole lot of them came out to Australia in the 1850s and proceeded to the South Coast of NSW where they tended to marry their own cousins, but that's another story. Associated surnames include: Mathie, Russell, and Bryce.
It seems that the parish records for Whitburn aren't available online for the first half of the 19th century - does anyone know if there is a source available for any of these records, or if they were lost?
