There are a lot of records for that name.  Does he have a WikiTree profile to help narrow down what we are searching for? Do you know anything else about him?  Parents, wife, or children?
Thank you for your response. I am new to wikitree, but have information from my family and leading back to this Samuel Griswold (1745-1834). From our information, he was born in Salisbury, CT and died in Pottersville, NY. He had a son James (1795-1879) born and died in Pottersville. There is a line of Griswolds in Pottersville, but we hit a wall with Samuel in CT. I have found lots of Griswolds in CT, but not sure if any directly connect. Thank you for any help that you can provide!! - Matt

I only find a Samuel born in Killingsworth.

I added the profile and changed your tags so its linked. His pension file was very informative!!

"Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files," database with images, ''Fold3'' ([] : accessed 2 May 2019; citing Warrant Applications Based on Revolutionary War Service, compiled ca. 1800 - ca. 1912, documenting the period ca. 1775 - ca. 1900 at NARA. Note: See the profile for specific details.

The profile that I linked is for Samuel Griswold, born in Connecticut and died in Pottersville, New York. His dates are different than yours though (taken from his large pension file): born 15 Jan 1760, d 12 Feb 1844.
I haven't found a Connecticut birth record with that birth date
