I wanted to suggest a potential category for either notables or EuroAristo: knights who belonged to the Military Order of St. Louis.

One of my ancestors, Pierre-Marie Cabaret de Trepy, was one of these.

That order also included military men who came to New France, there are several known to be chevalier de l'ordre de St-Louis, so wouldn't necessarily fit under notables or EuroAristo

The category already exists under the name Chevaliers de l'ordre royal et militaire de Saint-Louis.  You can find the category page here.  The next category level up, Décorations militaires françaises, states that it is being managed by the Military and War Project in association with the Categorization project.
