William J Peacock's (Peacock-2939) parents are named William and Ellen. There is NSW BDM death 6473/1862 for what I suspect to be his father. Obituary articles for WJ Peacock mention step brothers (George and Alfred Ings) which I suspect are half brothers as an Ellen Peacock married an Edwin Ings in 1863 (BDM marriage 3262/1863, I suspect Ings was not written clearly & mistaken for Jugs). Ellen Ings died 1903-03-29 in Wagga (BDM death 4042/1903). Parents of George & Alfred Ings are named Edwin & Ellen (BDM birth 17292/1865 & 19807/1872).
On ancestry.com others have given a different mother for George & Alfred Ings, being born Ellen Peacock. I believe they weren't aware of a possible other family prior to her marriage to Edwin. Obituary articles for Ellen also do not mention William J despite him still being alive.
Also on ancestry.com I found a marriage of William Peacock (father's name Henry) and Ellen Mulford (father's name William), 9 December 1854 at St Saviour Southwark, Surrey. I found passenger lists for the "Rose of Sharon" departing London 10 January 1855 & arriving Sydney 13 April 1855 with a William and Ellen Peacock on board. Passenger lists give their ages as 25 for William and 26 for Ellen both from Lambeth. The age of 26 seems to match for Ellen. Ancestry has an additional hard-to-read passenger list giving their fathers' names as Henry & William.
I'm confident I can add the William that died in Yass as the father but other than that I feel that I may be making connections that might not be real and wanted to see what others thought.
