Is it okay to edit pre-1700 profiles?

Probably a stupid question, but I always see the warning at the top of the pre-1700 profiles about consulting with someone first. I'm mostly just standardizing place names or adding a source here and there. Just wanted to make sure I'm getting it right, lol!

Yes, if you're adding a source or fixing place names, definitely edit a pre-1700 profile!

If you are going to make substantial changes to the profile (e.g. changing their spouse or parents to a different person than is already included, and removing, something like that), probably worth consulting with the profile manager, in case it is a different person.

It's more to do with whether there is a project that the profile comes under. Nobody should make significant changes to an active manager's profiles without at least a courtesy message, whether they are pre-1700 or not.
Okay, awesome! I figured that was the case, but didn't want to mess up anything if I didn't have to, lol!
