Help with deciphering this writing

I am stumped as to what Daniel W. Starbird's occupation is.  Anyone willing to hazard a guess?  The other years of census have him listed as a "farmer", "millman" or "works in a wood mill", if that helps at all.  Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Thank you!  That makes so much more sense than "michelar" that Ancestry had listed.

Ancestry does have a hard time with census records, especially names and initials, but other things, too, like occupations.

Good for you!  I had gotten 'wi____ler' but couldn't come up with anything from that.
Drat, I should guess Herbert would beat me....... I had  __ictualer, from looking a few pages before for a clearer image....

(Herbert, Don't laugh at the Star.)

Peggy, I take the star very seriously, and sincerely thank you for it!  I hope no one berates you for awarding it as a third party.    smiley

You're welcome, J Clark!
