Yes my Richards family arrive in South Australia on the 6/2/1840 aboard the ship "JAVA" it had sailed from London via Plymouth on 29/10/1839
The diary of the voyage written by William Richards is in the RICHARDS file in the Mortlock Library, Adelaide, South Australia.
The diary was given to the Govenor of the day as evidence for a Medical Board of Enquiry held over 12 days against the Voyage Surgeon Superintendent Martin who was blamed for all the deaths (28 Child 1 Stillborn and 4 Adult) on the voyage and was not allowed to remain in the colony and had to leave on the "JAVA".
The ship "JAVA" was nicknamed "HORRID JAVA"
