I have large GEDCOM. 5 pages of my report are blank and I have a large # of matches that won't show up

I see 10 pages and 4973 persons, some of which are unticked so not match checked yet :)

If you are not seeing this Kate, try clearing your cache and login again. Nothing will be lost if you refresh the page, so you could also try that (use the button at the end of your listing)

Hi Wendy, Kate contacted me by Private Message as well.  There may be more of a problem than cache or refresh, though I hope I'm wrong.

Kate uploaded the gedcom file on Aug 7th and less than 2 hours later, she was able to ADD names to WikiTree, not just Edit existing Profiles, Add.  I found that a bit strange considering the size of her gedcom file, especially as she had Suggested Matches, and asked her some further questions.

I don't have the rights to see her file as you do and am just going by Kate's Contribution List. Am I reading her list incorrectly?  See what you think.

No you are not reading Kate's contribution list wrongly and I agree it is strange.

I see that she has checked 3090/4973 people but the remainder are spread out through the pages.

I have requested assistance from those with greater knowledge than myself, so hopefully it will be solved soon :)

LOL Well if Kate can't see what I can then there is something definately not right. I am kinda Gedcom challenged, having only ever done one tiny one and that was well over a year ago and prior to the new system. I often find a reboot and fresh login works wonders but it doesn't cure all ills :) Doesn't stop me trying to help though LOL

Hopefully i will learn more from this too :)

You might want to take a look at this page Wendy.  I made it up as primer for GEDCOMpare users.  Still needs more work, but it is a start.

Haven't spent much time on it lately as I am in the process of going back over my older Profiles from when I was a newbie and trying to make them passable. Woof, was I ever bad newbie!!! LOL  I figure I should be done by Christmas, the Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise.

Is this a problem with the Shawver Tree.ged or is this a new GEDCOM file?
