Seeking Review of a Profile: Eliza Field

I have just lodged a profile of Eliza Field and I would like some of the more experienced genealogists to look at the logic.   I am working on the family of James Edgecock Field and his wife Faith Hope Charity Johnson, who appear to be well recorded in family trees and pedigrees, but, in my humble opinion incorrectly, especially with respect to descendants.

Eliza appears to have represented herself as being a lot younger than herself in both marriage and death.  Her baptism in 1818 is well recorded at St Mary Northgate Canterbury.  Yet the marriage and the death seem to record her DOB as 1830, 12 years later.  She married Eli Dyson, a soldier in the 6th Dragoon Guards, based in Canterbury.

If you have a few minutes to spare your review would be welcome.

For what it's worth Eliza claims to be 29 on the marriage certificate (she was either 38 or a few weeks shy) and it's Eli who was 26. Since both the marriage certificate and the 1851 census describe her as a spinster we can probably dismiss the idea of an earlier marriage.

Did you see the 1871 census entry for 41 Commercial St, Huddersfield? Eli has an entirely consistent age of 40 while Eliza is now only admitting to being 41. Her place of birth as Canterbury, Kent pretty much confirms it. There are no children.

Thanks... yes I have the 1871 Census record for Commercial St., Huddersfield.  The Census Entry of 1881 where the surviving spouse Eli Dyson is listed with several children interests me most.  See RG11/4390/39/11 - I am yet to test if these children's mother is maiden name Field.

That 1881 Census family I point out is not related to Eliza - mother must have been maiden name Cotton
Yeah I was about to tell you it wasn't. That Eli Dyson is categorically not the same one as you can find him in the 1861 census with his wife Sarah.
