While working on Ohio and its African American communities , I created former slave, John Percival Parker. He was an early stop on the Underground Railroad, an outspoken abolitionist, an inventor, business owner, and a family man.
His family needs more research which I don't yet have time to do. His wife's last name at birth is questionable. . . his children seem to drop off the map after leaving home. . . and, well, it's a worthwhile family that contributed to African American History and could use some genealogical attention.
If anyone wants to take up the family of John P. Parker, it would be great! Thanks.
