Adopted Profile [closed]

I adopted a Pre 1500 profile on Garrett-4568 several months ago.  It will not let me edit his Bio or any information due to big red banner that pops up with info below.  Who would like to take over for me??

Our community has very strict requirements for editing pre-1500 profiles in our shared tree. Thank you for understanding.

See for information about WikiTree's policies and processes for editing of pre-1500 profiles.

Adopting an orphaned pre-1500 profile does not allow a member to edit the profile -- unless the member has pre-1500 certification.
Seems like they ought to check for that pre-1500 certification before allowing such an adoption. Or am I missing something?
Are you offering your volunteer services to program that checking function, Frank?
Frank, that would be terrific if the system would prevent those that aren't pre-1500 certified to adopt or create these profiles.  Unfortunately . . .
This has been discussed before.  Wikitree leadership believes there is value in having non certified folks manage pre 1500 profiles; that even though they can't edit the profile they can still coordinate others editing the profile.  Or something like that.

Let's work together on this one....and then I will "pull" for you to get your Pre-1500.    You can use this thread to provide me with the sources you have for this profile, and the data that needs editing....OK?

I have worked on this profile for several weeks, cannot find much info at all including is so-called spouse.  I think someone must of accidently created these profiles.

Thanks for your help-

Martha, please remove yourself as PM.  That way it opens up the profile to be adopted by someone else.  Thanks.

Hey Martha!

Why not take the pre-1500 test if this ancestor is of interest?

Just a thought!

Pre-1500 certfication actually takes several months and a lengthy committment to complete.
This is the page that describes the requirements to get the badge.
It's a thought for her though. I wanted to work on a particular ancestor (with an orphaned profile) who was pre-1500 which motivated me to get it.

It's an opportunity!
I have twice but have been turned down.  I will try again soon.
