The Mysterious Ellen/Helen (Crow) Jackson

The earliest record I have for my great-grandmother is her marriage to Angus Jackson in 1860 where she is identified as 'Ellen'. Later records show her as 'Helen'. The birth record for her daughter Sarah shows her address as 66 Muse Lane, Glasgow, Scotland in 1880. A few months later she died in Belvidere Hospital but the death record is a confusion of information. The address is the same, as is the husband info but then her parents are listed as 'Finlay' rather than Crow. The death record cross matches with Finlay and no record exists for Crow. Is it possible that there were 2 Ellen Jacksons who died around the same time at Belvidere and only one record was made?

Perhaps I'll ask this again once summer is over. I suspect everyone is out enjoying the warm weather.

A Helen Crowe who married a Jackson was my cousin. Her dad was Emile Crowe and Estelle Morrison. Emile was born 1878-79. He and his wife had 9 children. Helen was near the youngest. Randolph Crowe was the youngest. That means Helen was born around 1920. This family was born in Hancock County KY.

Helen had 2 sons, not sure if there were other children.  One son was named Ray. The other, I only knew by his nick name, "General Jackson".

Probably not the Helen you are looking for, but if it is a possibility, try looking in Hancock County Kentucky records. Helen shot her husband,  in the 90's.
