In Canada Archives a doc about the totems and the 9 Iroquois families connected to it. I don't remember enough of my Quebec French to translate the Info, on who these families are, anyone care to help?

Should be able to pass it through a translation page.

Hi Arora,

This appears to me to be explaining the Haudenosaunee (Iroquos) clan system.  Rather than translating the whole document, I wonder if you might find this just as useful?  https://www.haudenosauneeconfederacy.com/clan-system/

smileynope, not looking for definitions of clan systems or the traditions/explanations of these. but thank you Laurie.

hmm, fairly easy to read, but there's no authorship given that I could see, it comes from colonial archives but no date either, so not sure when.

Just from a quick scan through it appears to give a description of tribal structures and the names of the various clans and subclans, as well as their procedures for specific situations.  Not sure if this is useful for you, doesn't appear to name any people specifically.
