Can we please get Mrs. Mary opened so that she can be credited for being a woman?. She also needs some kids since she has a grandchild who would like to get her connected to her family......

Someone out there would be super appreciative!

Do you have any sources for her birth and death?
See original post made by family member on the profile. I can't copy and past the link, sorry.

I looked at that.  Still no sources. sad

I just have to say this, sorry, but the question looked like a marriage ad when I first saw it. Context saves the day.
She has a find-a-grave memorial - the picture looks artificial to me, but it includes a pasted obituary with the reference of the paper that published it.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/111418100

.. and RootSearch for her (as Mary Bennett) yields 3 obituaries from FamilySearch.

Census records help confirm birth and parents:

"United States Census, 1930," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XH9S-G7Z : accessed 13 August 2018), Mary E Stoner in household of John A Stoner, Madison, Jefferson, Indiana, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 7, sheet 15B, line 90, family 459, NARA microfilm publication T626 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2002), roll 595; FHL microfilm 2,340,330.

"United States Census, 1940," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KQHT-3NC : accessed 13 August 2018), Mary J Stoner in household of John Stoner, St. Thomas Township, Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 28-44, sheet 12A, line 8, family 220, Sixteenth Census of the United States, 1940, NARA digital publication T627. Records of the Bureau of the Census, 1790 - 2007, RG 29. Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2012, roll 3510.

But it got your attention :)
Not artificial, just brand new. There are other photos, showing it next to other stones. If it's a fraud, it was well thought out. See the husband's stone, which is similar, but more faded.
Thanks for the clarification - I thought it was likely real, but unfortunately the fabricated grave pictures that have been cropping up recently look a bit like this, so one grows suspicious. You must also account for my lack of familiarity with the style of recent US gravestones :-)
The profile's been opened now, Sylvia.
Thanks for opening the profile. Although, I can now add her to my tree, I cannot edit the profile, including birth, death, and more importantly, gender.
The privacy setting is still not open

But the gender was changed.
It WAS open, I changed the gender. It looks like the PM jumped on the profile to privatize it. Do check the Problems with Members page, you will see what you have to do, I think.
Everything seems to be in order now. Thanks everyone!

EDIT: Well, other than still needing to be on my grandma’s profile’s Trusted List. Somehow, some of her children are now only half-related to her...

That's funny, Pip. I thought the same thing when I saw the question in the feed.  It gave me the idea that with all those different themed dating sites available, someone should start a genealogy-themed dating site.  On second thought... frown

Now that’s funny!!!

You just need to go through the unresponsive manager request process.

Put a note on the profile.  Send a note to the PM.  Give it an appropriate amount of time for the PM to respond.  If he doesn't respond, use the Unresponsive Profile Manager Request form found under Family Tree &Tools tab.  The profile will usually be then opened in about a day.

It is a bit of a pain to wait out the time for a simple correction, but it is appropriate given the person was recently living.  I see that Josh Tucker asked a question about Mary as his own grandmother making the PM his second cousin.  If I was Josh, I would also ask that Mary's parents be opened so that they could have an active manager.

Actually Mary's parents have duplicates (same manager, but open):

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stoner-1241

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cooley-2886

I proposed the merges - so if they are default-approved, in 30 days the green/public duplicates should be automatically opened.
This issue is bigger than that, the profile manager has two accounts and has duplicated most of his tree between the two accounts, including himself.

He appears to have 2 different fathers:

Perhaps this was done in an attempt to show the family tree of a biological father vs adoptive father?

Sorry, I had to chuckle at the post title when I saw it in my feed. It sounds like you're looking for a husband! laugh

I can suggest several, who come with children, if she wishes.

I cracked up. Now while you get the husband, do you want the kids to be part of the package? Or is the idea to try for the kids until you are successful? Because a man and kids package is extremely rare unless he is a widower. Very seldom is it a divorcee.

You might get more responses with a "NICE" photo.

LOL

ok, while struggling to be socially correct Nat posted almost the same thing. :(
I don't need either. However, I figured Mary might want to regain hers on WikiTree........it was way too early to be much more witty.
