I have found David Godfrey in 1851 through to 1891, marriage and death but can not find his birth(due to various birth dates), his father is nowhere to be seen( So possibly passed away) nor can I find a marriage(if any) for his mother Agnes

The only Agnes Godfrey in the 1841 census Somerset is living in Wookey, age 30, with husband Samuel Godfrey, also age 30, a cooper, and his apprentice Benjamin Cook.  No sign of David - are you positive he was born in 1840?  Might he not even have been born yet?

As you have him on the 1851, which you said above, could you put the data on his profile, please?

I think I have found a HUGE breakthrough!  He wasn't baptised as David! If you look at the 1851, he is just listed as 'D Godfrey'.  The only D Godfrey I could find who was baptised in Lyng 23 Dec 1832 was a Daniel Godfrey! with father William Godfrey (a labourer) and mother Agnes.

"England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NRRC-83T : 10 February 2018, Daniel Godfrey, ); citing p34, index based upon data collected by the Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City; FHL microfilm 1,364,058.
