I got this notification on logging in:

The time has come for us to close down the old Find A Grave site.

The old site will be retired on August 20th.

We appreciate the great feedback we've received and have made many changes to the new site that we hope will make it easier for you to use. If there are specific things you still have trouble doing with the new site, please let us know by using the "Send Feedback" link at the bottom of any page of the new Find A Grave site. We will continue to work to improve the site and look forward to working with you to make it the best it can be.

Thanks for the heads up, Aaron. I liked the old one, but time moves on and progress must go forward.
Yeah I agree I highly dislike the new look.
Both sites are hideously ugly.

Thank you for the info, but does this mean we will lose all old info?

Hopefully all the info has been moved to the new Find-A-Grave website
nothing is lost -- old and new are just different presentations of the same data.

If you use the FindAGrave template then you will not notice a difference. We may however have a huge surge in FindaGrave errors like 587 right after this happens.

The only time we actually "lose data" is when whomever owns the memorial section removes it. Sadly, each memorial is considered the property of the person who created it and they can remove it at any time.

So is this technically on the new site: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/73192889/marco-james-ferraiolo

I have many Find a Grave profiles like this. Many.

Pages like that will be fine? Or are they already moved over?

I figure this is like a site server move like others I've experienced. For example, one site had to move all its stuff to a new server. Everything was the same. Layout was a little different. Same thing here. No need to lose your cool.
The address you gave is for the new site. The address of that profile on the old site is now:

https://old.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=73192889.
Gotcha. So...I am all set then. Cool. Thanks.

The way I read this is that they will just turn off the old computers. Everything else will work as today. I think they will still redirect the old URLs to the new ones.

It seems to be basically a server move/layout change. I've been on sites that have done the exact same thing. It's nothing to worry about.

As long as the hrml files for the entries are intact....Which they are....it should be fine.
