Images used for Background

Hi and good day,

When a profile is managed by another person, other than yourself, do you need to ask and get permission to set an image for background?  One of my family members in the mid 1700's is managed by someone else.  I'm the profile manager for the husband and the wife is managed by someone else.  I'm uploading images to my family history according to that particular time in history and/or event according to their BORN date.  Can someone please tell me when I check image for background on someone else's managed profile does the background become the background for just my viewing page or for everyone who has that family member?  Thank you kindly.

Have a Happy WikiTree Day!

If you set the background image on a page, everyone who views that page will see the background you select.

To maintain harmony with your distant cousins, It's advisable to consult with the profile managers (and folks on the Trusted List) before you add or change a background image. (No sense in alienating people over a page element that's only intended to be fun and interesting...)
