Tanya, we need to give the profile manager(s) time to OK and complete the merge since it was just proposed today August 13, 2018. If the merge is not approved by the two managers it will go to default approval in 30 days then at that time any Pre-1500 certified member can complete the merge.

I'm not sure they should be merged, at least not till some more investigation and discussion.

Margaret Balfour, the wife of William Leslie, 3rd Earl of Rothes, who is attached as the daughter of Balfour-419 is the daughter of Sir Michael Balfour of Montquhanie, who is not the same person as Sir Michael Balfour of Burleigh

See Scots Peerage Vol. 7, p. 279

Should we then make a few changes and retain Balfour-419 as Balfour of Montquhanie, or continue on with the merge and remove Margaret as his daughter?

Either way the dates aren't correct, Michael Balfour of Burleigh was last known to be alive on 28 January 1524/25 and must have died after that date and definitely not at Flodden Field which was in 1513 (?).  His birth date is unknown, but was probably after 1453.

See his bio in The Scots Peerage, Vol 1, pages 531-532
