Can't find any Haire earlier than 1876 in Down, Ireland, thoughts?

I have several generations of Haire family in Banbridge Ireland, but can seem to find any records pre 1876.

I suspect that they were destroyed or the name was a variation before William George Haire.

Thoughts about where else to look and other solid resources to find more Haire family.

Were they Catholic,Church records were not destroyed.Do you have

full names and month day year of birth.I have researched Ireland for a long

time.
Not Catholic, I don't think,

Thanks for the offer of help.

My GGF was William George Haire born 1876 married 1899 to Agnes Jane Cupples.  I have no issue in finding the entire Cupples family, but I can find no record of George Haire's parents in Banbridge or any other Down County township.  I have looked at the Banbridge website and the list of residents of prominence and there are no Haires.

I do know that George Haire was a grocer before 1913 when he took the family to the US.

Thanks in advance for help.

Is this the gentleman in question?

William Hare 24 April 1876 Mother's maiden name Ryans

I don't think so as WIlliam George Haire, had the Haire spelling with an I and was known as George.

Might be a William Hare born a generation earlier as William is a very prominent name within the tree.

By using the Civil Records search on Irish Genealogy, I was able to locate 45 records for HAIRE births, deaths & marriages in Banbridge Registration District.  (Note: results also include spelling variations)

thanks, I didn't know about this resource of Civil Records and now I am searching all the births and marriages to understand the HAIRE name in Banbridge.

FABULOUS Thanks!
How do I find things older than 1846 for marriage and births?

If nothing is coming up on FamilySearch, you could try Roots Ireland but it is a subscription site.
