Hi Jason Ross,

Hi George ,

We are only 17 people apart.

We match through Susan Ross, David Ross, Isabella Ross, Mourning Lawrence, Micajah Forkner, -> Micajah’s wife- Elizabeth Allen, -> Elizabeth’s mother- Mary Brooks, ->Mary’s Father-Jonathan Brooks, -> Jonathan’s sister-Patsy Brooks, ->Patty’s husband-Samuel Kitchen, -> Samuel’s daughter-Elizabeth Kitchen, Elizabeth’s daughter->

Mary Ann Polly Cole, Polly’s daughter-> Euphamia Ann (Effy) Ridgway, Effy’s son by Affair -> James  Nell Weaver (-PLESS, ), which is my moms grandpa,

Earl Altaman/Alganon Weaver-Pless, was moms dad, and my mom is Frances Kathalene Weaver-Pless ( my mom now 85.)

Mom tested her DNA on Ancestry and we uploaded on GEDmatch.

I tested on 23andMe and Ancestry.

Euphania Ann Ridgway had an extramarital affair with Newton A Jacob ( Jeff)  PLESS Jr while she was married to Mr. Taft.

Taft was off at War. When he returned, he found his wife pregnant, so he sued her. Taft was a Lawyer by Trade.

Taft took Effy to Franklin County Tennessee Courts and Sued her for Adultery. Taft won the lawsuit against Effy.

Effy was forced to give up her baby James Neal To her mom and her moms then 2nd husband Johnny W Weaver to raise.

There was no formal adoption in Tennessee before 1900 and this was 1865 that James Neal was born.

So James was raised with With Mary Ann Polly Cole and her 2nd husband Johnny Weaver and their biological kids as if he was really one of their biological kids too, but he was really their grandson.

So James Neal was given the Weaver surname instead of Pless.

But DNA told the story this many years later. Although, James had tons of 1/2 siblings that were Weaver’s too.

I would really appreciate it if we could connect on Wikitree.
