HI Wendall,

I had a look around for information and couldn't find nothing conclusive. Do you have any more information of which could result in an Answer?
Do you have a location in Nova Scotia?  There was no central record-keeping system in the settlements at that time, so it helps to have an area to search in.

Generally, I can find Williams, but there seems to only be one Williamson in my grasp: Sarah (Williamson) Wilson moved from Londonderry Ireland to Pictou NS with her husband about the year 1820. I can speculate that maybe other Williamsons came with them, or followed?  Vital Records show Williamsons in that area later in the century, but those records don't go back far enough to help.
Abraham lived in preston Halifax County Nova Scotia in 1864
It's Williams or Williamson I found both

Did they spell it Williams at all? Or always Williamson?

Here is an article from Canada about an Abraham Williamson that was one of the people safe when a Steamship met a disaster and was lost.

This Jacob may not have been the one that married Martha Drake. A modern genealogy book lists his birth as 1711 which is a huge difference.
