Littleberry Jackson and Patience Harris were married in Greene County Georgia on July 4, 1827. There were two Littleberry Jackson's in Greene County, both appear in the 1840 Census of Greene County listed as LB Jackson. The Littleberry Jackson who married Patience is more than likely the one living next door to Jesse Harris as Jesse Harris is the younger brother of Patience.
In the 1840's, Littleberry and Patience moved to Fayette Co. Georgia. Patience and Littleberry appear to have had another son besides Melvin Blake Jackson. In the 1860 Fayette Co. Georgia Census, Littleberry and Patience have a Melinda Jackson aged 7 living in their household. The census states that Melinda was born in Alabama. I have been unable to figure out who this Melinda was but she could very well be a grand daughter of Littleberry and Patience and daughter of their other son who must have died in the 1850's in Alabama.
Patience was the daughter of Wilmot Egerton Harris and his wife Catherine "Katie/Kate" Morris.
Patience had 8 siblings,
Elizabeth Williamson Harris who married Joshua Cannon
Benjamin E. Harris who married Susan Pyron (my ancestors)
Charles F. Harris who married Rachel Martindale, she was previously married to Williamson James.
James Harris - may be the James W. Harris who married Abigail Fambough the only discrepency is the age.
William Jesse Harris who married Louisa Caroline Rainwater
Simon Harris who last appears in a Malita Muster Roll during the Creek Indian War
Frederick Harris who must have died young
and Mary Catherine Harris who married John Robert Eidson
