Drouin Collection

Would someone with Canadian connections like to suggest how I should reference information from the Drouin Collection?

I'd rather reference direct to source rather than through Ancestry or Familysearch in the same way as I reference to London Metropolitan Archives..

Institut Généalogique Drouin; Montreal, Quebec, Canada; Drouin Collection; Author: Gabriel Drouin, comp.

You really should include online sources whenever possible so that others can locate the transcription/image to verify. Your current method of sourcing isn't really adequate to allow others to quickly locate the documents.

Thank you.

The problem is that most transcriptions/ images that I have cost. That causes resentment. If people want to find them online, they can. I don't see it as our job to supply online links that may be gone in the future. The best source is the main repository.
That's where Source Profiles can come in handy.

A profile (free space page) can be made of a common source that is used across multiple person profiles. It can include an example of citation, and it can also include multiple links to online copies of the source. If those online links ever change, then it only needs to be changed in one place: the Source Profile.
Thanks, Eric. Excellent advice.
