I do not know what to do with Elizabeth Bolden.

Because Elizabeth Bolden got merged to her spouse William Coates, any changes I make to the Elizabeth married to herself get made to her spouse who is herself.  So she's always married to herself, whether herself be changed to William or the other way around.  Should I give up close my account and start over?  Can anyone just delete at Elizabeth and William and I'll rebuild?  I'm not linked to anyone else

I disconnected Elizabeth as William's father.  She no longer appears as her own spouse in the tree.  We can't delete profiles.  Please relax and slow down.  This is not an emergency.  We'll help you fix it.
I edited Coates-2630 to return him to being William.  There is now a Coates-2631, probably a duplicate.  The Elizabeth Bolden who was merged away needs to be recreated.  I'm out of it to avoid creating further conflicting/duplicated profiles.
Never give up Carol!    There's always someone here to help.   Mistakes have always been my best  "learning tool".

It might help if you draw out your tree on paper (or use index cards, one for each person), and write their WikiTree-ID on it.

Then you can reference those as you build and connect your tree, so you don't get lost, and as a way to try to minimize mistakes.
