George Hubbard (Hubbard-223) has two sons named George. I didn't notice if the birth dates are identical, but they are similar. Are these sons duplicate profiles that should be merged, or has something else happened?

Yes, I am commenting on my own question. Just color me obsessivewink

According to the tree at http://kitesonline.org/pedigree.php?personID=I10468&tree=Kites1 George Hubbard (Hubbard-223) actually had two sons named George but the two sons had different mothers. I am descended from the son born to Elizabeth (Watts) Hubbard.

Did the older son die in infancy?  People used to give another child the same name.

Or perhaps Mr Hubbard foreshadowed Mr Foreman?
Its certainly possible that the older George son died young. The source I'm using (which I still cannot verify) does not give a death date or any other biographical data for this George. The one son was born in 1632, with the note [natural], and the other lived 1646-1683.
I was thinking George Foreman as well. Those kids of his have to be confused.

This George is suspect as he was married after he died.

The reason their are two Georges, sons of George-223, is because you created a fictitious George.

George-223 had one son George Hubbard-612 b. 1650 died 1675 ish,  unmarried.

The George who allegedly died 18 March 1683, is I believe an entire fiction. Someone got the death of George died 18 March 1685 and the death of George died Jan 1683 conflated and invented a new person who shows up as the son of both Georges.

I am going to disconnect your George and a duplicate currently attached to the George of Guilford, merge them together and put a big note on them.

Thank you for your question. It helped me realize where the other fiction George got his start.

There is at least a grain of truth in your profile. A George Hubbard m. Elizabeth Eastland in 1667 in Kent. I've put the source on her profile. Instead of merging George Hubbard-5809. What should happen is he should be disconnected from the non parents. His death dates and places on her & his profiles should be eliminated. Birth places should be changed to Kent. Then you should do some research at Family search, to see if there is a george who fits as their son, who might be the father of Richard.
