Charles McClung has been proven to be the son of William McClung and Abigail Carpenter by numerous genealogical organizations, including the Sons of the American Revolution. Thomas McClung died at the Battle of Point Pleasant before Charles was born.  Please see the following books.                    'The McClung Genealogy' by Rev.
