Fishy societies

Wandering the Net, link to link, looking up WWII stuff, and found these:

https://www.ordersecondworldwar.com/membership.htm

https://www.knightsofthebath.com/

Funny that they’re run out of the same address in Florida. Expensive, too.

Oh, and this one: https://www.orderfirstworldwar.com/.   Same address. Same registrar.

Hmmm....

Looked at all three links and sounds like a gimmick to make money with no beneficial returns.

But you get a nice set of medals to show off! And certificates!!! Oh, wow!

Yes, you do get a nice set of metals for a price! And the membership fees go to who and for what? A nice certificate!!

For a lot less I will print you out a certificate. smiley

Make it fancy with colors. Make up a good society name, too!

X-treme Kong strikes again!
Found current residents
Yup, that’s him.
Waddawe do now - hang a shame on you sign on his house?
give that sex offender a military medal ... I think I'm gonna be sick
I am a member of YELP dot com. Should I yelp him?
Nah, it’s just tone of those “Let the buyer beware” kind of situations.
I'd like to do a few things to him, probably stronger than yelping him (whatever that is), but as a respectable grandmother I'm not supposed to say those things (all of which I learned from Navy Chiefs I used to work with).

By the way, Eddie ... beware - I'm gonna be on your turf again - from Wed to Sat next week.  Husband is having more surgery in Cleveland.
Gaile, I hope all goes well with the surgery. And for you, too.

(My wife was a Navy daughter, so I know, I know!)
THANX Pip.  Quick synopsis of situation - husband had cardiac arrest in Jan, and spent 2 1/2 mo in ICU in Huntsville before I managed to get him to Cleveland Clinic.  They did quadruple bypass and put a dacron patch on his aorta in mid-April and he's been recovering well since then, but still has a long way to go.  He's had an external defibrillator since surgery and they now made decision that he's going to need it permanently.  Next week's surgery is to implant it.
You must feel like you been put through the wringer, Gaile. I will be praying for you both. Please keep us posted as you can.
Gaile, holding you and your family in the Light.
